Madrid, Spain: Transfesa Logistics has started a refrigerated 72-hour rail service to transport hygiene and medical products from Valencia and Murcia to London.
Bernd Hullerum, chief executive of Transfesa Logistics said: “The railway is, now more than ever, the most sustainable and reliable means of transport. ”
The objective is to run a daily service, moving around 30 containers per train.
A daily train service will reduce CO2 emissions as around 30 trucks will be taken off the roads, says Transfesa.
