Transport of the Year awards delayed

Tunbridge Wells, UK: The FTA’s inaugural Transport Manager of the Year competition and lunch has been postponed due to the coronavirus
pandemic.

The event is now scheduled for the autumn and entries are being kept open for the time being to give more entrants the opportunity to compete with the best of the best later on in the year.

FTA’s Transport Manager of the Year competition provides an opportunity for transport managers to show their knowledge and be recognised by the industry.

Fifty finalists will have the chance to spend a day competing at the UK head office of event supporter Daf Trucks in Haddenham, completing a number of tasks to test the knowledge and skills required to be a transport manager.

All participants will then be hosted at an awards ceremony lunch where a number of awards will be presented, including the overall FTA Transport Manager of the Year and FTA’s Young Transport Manager of the Year to recognise the rising stars within the industry.
