Richard Hoyte, technical director, Perishable Movements, picked up Manager of the Year, in recognition of his achievements over the last year, which include navigating BRC Global Stand for Food Safety Certification issue 7 and 8 for PML’s packhouse; the improvements made to productivity at the company’s packing site; the implementation of a dedicated QC department.

26-year-old Ryan Parr, operations director, Perishable Movements, won the Hero Award – which celebrates an individual who has made a significant impact in the face of the challenging circumstances associated with the pandemic and who has shown dedication over and above during the Covid crisis.

Parr was recently promoted to operations director. He worked 15 to16-hour days, seven days a week, co-ordinating trucks deliveries and freight flights.
