Tunbridge Wells, UK: Logistics UK’s Van Operational Briefings are now now free to attend.
There are two briefings: the first in Manchester on 14 September and a second in Beaconsfield on 16 September.
The briefings provide the latest information on compliance and operating standards and also provide insights into driver welfare, alternative fuels, navigating changed road space and operators’ obligations regarding vehicle safety defects and recalls, Logistics UK says.
The briefings are sponsored by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners: the AA, Bott, Brigade Electronics, Hertz, Lex Autolease, Quartix and TVL.
Denise Beedell, public policy manager, Logistics UK, said: “Vans are integral to the UK economy, and even more so since the Covid-19 pandemic. They are a key part of everyday life, from delivery services to utility services and whether you are a professional delivery driver, or use the vehicle to transport the tools of your trade, it is essential that you are operating the vehicle in a compliant manner, in accordance with good practice. Logistics UK is keen to ensure as many operators as possible are able to attend these vital briefings and making these free to attend is the best way of allowing that.”
