Working hours analysis from Orbcomm

Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK: Orbcomm has launched Working Hours Analysis, a new workspace that combines detailed EU working time analysis, driver infringement letters in different languages, non-tachograph data, attestation letters, minimum wage checks and customised expenses – all from one screen.

By using the new workspace, fleets can eliminate unnecessary infringements, reduce costly fines and manage international drivers more efficiently, Orbcomm says.

“The Working Hours Analysis workspace complements our existing, real-time tachograph data by providing more in-depth and detailed historical analysis,” said Trevor Durnin, UK & Ireland country manager, Orbcomm.

“By combining tachograph and non-tachograph data, fleets can minimise unnecessary administration, reduce fines and manage their drivers, vehicles and paperwork more effectively, all in one place.”

Working Hours Analysis ranks the severity of working time and drivers’ hours infringements, calculates fines and automatically provides letters of infringement in multiple languages. Renewal dates for drivers’ cards, licences, insurance, inspections and maintenance tasks can be stored, and expiry alerts sent.

Attestation letters can be created to help manage non-tachograph data such as holiday or illness. DDD files are available to ensure fleets are audit-ready with original tachograph and driver card data.

EU minimum wage requirements are calculated to compare with payroll. Daily expense rates, including cross-border, are available, and company-specific expenses can be added, while drivers can be measured against different EU rules sets such as the 12 Day Bus Rule for international bus and coach operators.

Working Hours Analysis is accessible for customers through FleetManager, Orbcomm’s cloud-based analysis and information management platform. FleetManager is part of Orbcomm’s truck telematics solution, which also offers messaging, jobs, DVIR, driver performance scoring and fuel management.
