Imperial Logistics shines at South African Achievers Awards

Johannesburg, South Africa:  Imperial Logistics and its member companies, TFD, The Cold Chain and VMS, received awards at this year’s Professional Management Review Awards that followed a survey of fast moving consumer goods supply chain management in South Africa.

Imperial Logistics has received a Golden Arrow Award and it member company, the Cold Chain, which manages the largest basket of chilled and frozen products in the South Africa was rated highest in the Chilled and Frozen Products category. It also received the Golden Arrow Award for Outstanding Performance.

Vital Merchandising Services received two awards: a Silver Arrow Award in the category Dedicated: Cape Town, Durban & Johannesburg and a Gold Arrow Award in the category Synergised National, ranking second and first overall respectively in these categories.

“Such recognition serves to further confirm Imperial Logistics’ FMCG leadership – with proven delivery in ambient, chilled and perishable route to market solutions. Companies were rated by FMCG manufacturers and suppliers based on the level of collaboration that has been achieved within supply chains. Survey respondents rated companies across a range of 25 attributes, including client commitment, cost-effectiveness, flexibility, thoroughness and reliability and innovation,” the company says.

Imperial Logistics Southern Africa has five divisions: transport and warehousing, consumer products, specialised freight, integration services and Africa. Imperial Logistics International comprises five operating units: Panopa Logistik, Lehnkering, Neska, Imperial Shipping Group and Brouwer Shipping.
