New president at European Cold Storage and Logistics Association

Brussels, Belgium: The European Cold Storage and Logistics Association (ECSLA) has appointed Luc Put as president.

Put, who is chief executive of Belgian cold storage firm Colfridis Invest, takes over from Hans van Leeuwen who has been president for the last year.

“Since 2010, when the partnership with GCCA was established and ECSLA became the number one association to represent the European temperature-controlled logistics industry, much effort has been put into establishing a stable organization,” says Put. “Now it is time to look ahead and set clear goals for the future.”

On ECSLA’s website it says the association’s mission is “to represent the cold logistics companies interests, at the level of European and international institutions, in order to contribute to the development of a legislative and economic framework addressing the competitiveness of industry, food quality and safety, consumer protection and respect for the environment.”

ECSLA represents the interests of thousands of refrigerated storage facilities in the EU with a total capacity of more than 40million cubic meters.
