TIP to showcase trailer refurbishment capabilities and electric vehicle offering at RTX

TIP, a leading provider of trailer and truck hire and support services, is returning to the Road Transport Expo (RTX) for the fourth consecutive year to showcase its current range of solutions, including latest electric truck vehicles available for hire and its growing expertise in trailer refurbishment.

To demonstrate the latter, visitors to outdoor stand Y10 will be able to explore a fully refurbished curtainsider trailer that showcases the capabilities of TIP’s dedicated trailer refurbishment centre in extending asset life and supporting operators’ sustainability goals.

Its unique 12.75-acre facility is the largest of its kind in the UK, with 41 dedicated bays and with current capacity to refurbish around 15 trailers per week. Refurbishment can extend a trailer’s life by five years or more, offering operators a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to acquiring newly manufactured replacements.

TIP will also have a DAF XD 6×2 electric rigid truck, complete with Hiab crane, on display. It will represent the wide range of electric vehicle that TIP can now specify for operators and provide for hire.  This particular unit targets the builders merchant sector and offers a range of up to 150 miles, courtesy of its three battery packs.

Together, the vehicles on display reinforce TIP’s commitment to supporting customers through the transition to more sustainable operations, while continuing to deliver flexible, end-to-end fleet solutions for both truck and trailer.

Mike Furnival, TIP Managing Director, said: “Road Transport Expo continues to be an important opportunity for us to engage directly with operators and showcase the breadth of our capabilities. This year, we’re particularly pleased to highlight our refurbishment expertise, which plays a key role in helping customers maximise the value of their existing assets while reducing environmental impact. We’re also excited to be displaying an electric rigid truck for the first time, reflecting the increasing demand we’re seeing for low-emission solutions across a wide range of applications.”

The TIP team will be available on stand Y10 throughout the show to discuss any aspect of trailer and truck hire or supporting services and, in particular, how its trailer refurbishment capabilities can be tailored to support operators’ needs.

All visitors to the stand will be welcome and will be able to discuss their fleet needs over a freshly cooked on-stand breakfast or lunch.

Road Transport Expo 2026 takes place from 30th June to 2nd July at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
